Jim Dembkoski's Horror Review #2 - Jeepers Creepers (2001)
A brother and sister on a road trip home from college stumble upon a mysterious figure dumping bodies into a sewer. They investigate, and then become the target of the Creeper, an ancient creature who needs bodyparts from humans. Why? That, among other things, are never fully explained in this uneven film. While the presence of an old psychic woman is gratuitously thrown in to try and explain the Creepers existence and purpose, it falls flat, leaving you to just wonder 'why?' about the whole plot. The acting is subpar, with the sister being the best of the lot. The brother is annoying from the start, the psychic woman doesn't help much, and the old lady with all the cats makes no sense at all. Is worth watching for it's ending, if nothing else.

The Good:  The Creeper is a decent creature, and this film definitely has some genuine frights.

The Bad:  The plot never really explains itself, and leaves way too many questions unanswered, so you're left unfulfilled by the story. The brother character is also extremely annoying.

The Ugly:  The ENDING. It's the best part of the film, and is NOT the typical Hollywood ending. It's worth watching the film all the way through to see this, though. You may feel vindicated.
